Daily Fantasy Basketball Random Thoughts (Week 2)

Week 1 of daily fantasy basketball is officially in the books!  Here are some random thoughts:

Blake Griffin – First off, lose please lose the stache. Second, you’re such a punk. Third, you’re kind of a beast. Except when you played the Kings, you got destroyed. I fully expect you still be the focal point of the Clippers offense. All systems go for BG.

Klay Thompson – After his max $70 million extension, you definitely showed the world why you’re worth it after your 41 point performance. I’m a fan Klay, I’m a fan.  It’s probably safe to say that you’re going to be option 1/2 for GSW going forward, attempting 16+ shoots a game.

Anthony Davis – It’s a love/hate relationship. You’re a g*d da*m FREAK OF NATURE. This guy needs to be in your lineup all the time. If you haven’t noticed, he’s a stat filler.  Sky is the limit for him… and his value. Good luck picking a lineup with him being so darn expensive. May the NBA gods be with you and your daily fantasy basketball line ups.

Lebron James – The return of the King was spoiled by the Knicks.  If you’re turning the ball over 8 times, expect to lose. If D-Rose didn’t go down with that minor ankle injury, I’m not too sure they would have won that game either. Nonetheless, you showed the world why you’re the best player on the planet right now (Next to Kobe of course :P).  For daily fantasy basketball purposes, we love you, oh. so. much.  6c72aaafe502e56b77de6c0cb05005a8_crop_north

Rudy Gay – You’re definitely making your $19 million worth it. It probably has something to do with that fact that it’s a CONTRACT year. Am I right or am I right? You’re starting become Mr. Efficient, exactly how you were last year.  Nonetheless, you are the #2 offense for the Sacramento Kings and we fully expect you to average 20/5/5 on a nightly basis.

Carmelo Anthony –  ALERT! STAY AWAY! He’s not the same player. After watching a few of his games, he’s definitely not the same player he used to be before the triangle was implemented.  I hate to say it, but for daily fantasy basketball purposes, he is not worth it.  He definitely won’t reach the 21+ shots per game he did last year. If this is what it takes to make the playoffs Melo… by all means, DO IT!

THE BRICK LIST – JJ Redick, Deron Williams, Jeff Green, Ben Mclemore, Eric Gordon, Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins, ETC. – You guys need to play some pickup ball and recoup your confidence level. My goodness.  You guys daily fantasy basketball killers.

2014 NBA Draft Class – Terrible so far, just terrible. I can’t believe what I’m seeing. I guess you guys are all rookies for a reason. I hate to say it, but it looks like the 2013 Draft Class is panning out to be better… Please prove me wrong.  Prayers go out to Julius Randle, we wish you a speedy recovery young fella’.

Chris Copeland – You are the sleeper of the week! Too bad we’re probably never going to pick you again since your daily fantasy basketball value will sky rocket.

Mason Plumlee – We are never picking you again Mr. Foul Trouble. I don’t even know how you made the USA World Championship Team. You were a mistake!

Patrick Patterson – You must hate us. We believed in you last year in the final Fanduel championship tournament last year. Yet, you disappoint when Amir Johnson is out of the lineup.

Patrick Beverley – There’s a reason why you were in the 2nd NBA All-Defensive Second Team. You make us daily fantasy basketball players stay away from you when any point guard plays you. You darn pest. #RESPECT

Philadelphia 76ers, Utah Jazz, Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers – Tankers. You guys need some major help.  You guys make mediocre teams look like championship teams. I hope the lottery serves you guys well next year.
