Daily Fantasy Basketball Random Thoughts (Week 5)

Week 5 of daily fantasy basketball is officially in the books!  Here are some random thoughts:

Anthony Davis – Well… How can you not play him? He does everything you ant him to do. I think I remember within in the span of 1 minute the play-by-play was literally… Davis Jump Shot: Made, Davis Rebound, Davis Block, Davis Layup: Made, Davis Rebound, Davis Steal, Davis Jump Shot: Made. Ridiculous. Nonetheless, the best daily fantasy basketball player one could ever ask for this season.

Mario Chalmers – Rio is ballin’! He’s definitely making the most of his minutes while D-Wade and Norris Cole are out.

Kemba Walker – Blackhole. He literally has tunnel vision. I can’t stand watching him play.

Darren Collison – You don’t realize the numbers he puts up until you check the box score. He’s silent, but deadly.

Reggie Jackson – For daily fantasy basketball purposes, he’s hit or miss. The OKC pace is too slow for my liking, but RJ is literally the only option at PG.

Ty Lawson, Timothy Mozgov, Wilson Chandler – The only players in Brian Shaw’s roster that are guaranteed minutes.

Kobe Bryant – Chucker.

Rajon Rondo – We’re not fans of players who don’t know how to shoot, especially free throws. In my opinion, they’re bad for daily fantasy basketball. Jump shots/free throws = points, Rondo is terrible at doing this. STAY AWAY!

Michael Carter-Williams, Tony Wroten & Co. – Can these guys co-exist on the floor together? I guess the real question is… is it possible for them to go 0-82 on the season? They are horrid.

Lebron James – He’s ticking time bomb… Just wait. He’s primed to explode and be sure you pick him up when he does.

James Harden – Best SG in daily fantasy basketball. Heck, I’m surprised he’s not in the running for MVP this year. He will continue to dominate with D12 in or out.

Damian Lillard – He’s hot right now, but I fully expect him to cool down. I have to admit, he just keeps getting better in all facets of his game.

Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic, Isaiah Thomas & Co.– They’re such a mystery… Jeff Hornacek’s rotations are a toss up night in and night out.

Javale McGee – We’ll be seeing you in Shaqtin’ a Fool. Bonehead.

John Wall & Bradley Beal – Best back court duo behind Stephen Curry & Klay Thompson.

Milwaukee Bucks – I never understood Jason Kidd’s rotations, even when he was with Brooklyn. He does seem to love Giannis Antetokounmpo (That was extremely difficult to figure out how to spell). We’re just going to call him “Greek Freak”.

Chris Paul, Blake Griffin & Co. – They better pick it up soon. They’re not looking like the same team they were last year.

Al Jefferson, Roy Hibbert – After watching several of their games, it has come to my conclusion that they are ineffective versus teams that run the floor and play at a high pace.  Checkout their recent games versus half court teams.

Demarcus Cousins, Nikola Vucevic – They will continue to dominate, regardless of who they are playing. Keep them in your daily fantasy basketball lineups.

Andre Drummond, Josh Smith – I wonder when these guys are going to explode… It’s going to happen… Sooner or later.

Al Horford, Brook Lopez – After experiencing season ending injuries last year, they’re back and are slowly getting back in their groove. Catch em while they’re cheap.

Derrick Favors, Trey Burke, Gordon Hayward – I can’t figure these guys out. They play at a higher pace one game and then they play slow/half court. I just have no idea.

Victor Oladipo – Don’t sleep on him… He’s very capable of exploding.  His minutes aren’t there yet, but it’s only a matter of time until he completely controls this team.

Derrick Rose & Co. – They’ve got some injury issues. They’re going to be buried with daily fantasy basketball value…

Carmelo Anthony & Co. – This triangle stuff is just not working out. One can only hope they figure it out sooner rather than later.
